Abstract

: Lippia alba has economic importance due to the essential oil content produced by the species, which has several application branches, including agriculture. Therefore, it is necessary to produce seedlings with greater vigor and quality, utilizing innovative technology, such as the use of microorganisms of the genus Trichoderma. The objective of this study was to evaluate the action of different Trichoderma isolates on the production of L. alba seedlings in a greenhouse. The experiment was conducted in a greenhouse, using a randomized block design in a split-plot-in-time scheme, with the main plots consisting of plants with and without the isolates of Trichoderma cf. asperellum (TCS87 and F12) and Trichoderma sp. (TB), and the subplots representing the evaluation times (0, 5, 10, 20, and 30), with three repetitions, totaling 240 seedlings. Phytotechnical data of the seedlings and the Dickson quality index were evaluated. Principal Component Analysis (PCA) reduced the dimensionality of the analyzed variables to 2 principal components, which together explained 74.8% of the data variability, grouping the samples according to the received treatments. PC1 grouped the G1, G3, and G4 seedlings, and PC2 grouped the G2 seedlings. Seedling growth is related to the inoculation of the different isolates at different evaluation times. T. cf. asperellum and Trichoderma sp. showed a positive response in relation to the production of Lippia alba seedlings, promoting an increase in biomass and the root system 30 days after seedling inoculation.
