Abstract

This article aims to analyze the trajectory of enslaved, black and poor women in two regions of the interior of Bahia: Orobó, now Itaberaba and Camisão, now Ipirá, focusing on the second half of the 19th century. The main sources used are Note Books, letters of freedom, records of purchase and sale of enslaved people and some judicial petitions. The trajectory and commitment of captive women in their struggles for freedom in these locations are analyzed. And to support this discussion, the methodological resource used is the indicative paradigm approached by Ginzburg, which, together with the Social and Regional History approach, helps to give voice to the subjects who were silenced during slavery.
