“AND MILES TO GO BEFORE I SLEEP”
UMA ANÁLISE ECOCRÍTICA DE DOIS POEMAS DE ROBERT FROST
Abstract
The aim of this research is to analyze if and how one can establish a connection between subject and nature, as well as the meaning of such connection, within the poems "The Road not Taken" (1916) and "Stopping by Woods on a Snowy Evening" (1923), by Robert Frost. Setting off from the reading of the texts, we have related subject and nature in the poetic world in general, but especially regarding in Frost’s pieces from the point of view of literary ecocriticism, which, in a nutshell, studies the relation between literary works and the environment. This work pinpoints the contributions that Frost's poems can bring to the field of ecocriticism.
