This article seeks to analyze hyperculturality as conceived by the south Korean philosopher Byung-Chul Han. Hyperculture does not generate unitary masses of culture, a monochromatic unity. It triggers an ever-increasing individualization, following one's own inclinations, reconfiguring religious identity based on life forms and practices. Hyperreligion establishes diverse beliefs from which one's own religion is reconstructed. Etymologically, character is the sign marked with fire, an indelible burn. Its main feature is inalterability. Duration and constancy do not favor consumption and are mutually exclusive. The purpose of this text is to show that the culture of consumer beliefs is gradually eliminating any constant sign, and the decline of the religious aspect is imposing a consumer without character.
