Among the demands of public health is the quantitative growth of diseases related to tobacco use, whose main component is nicotine, where it promotes a sensation of pleasure and changes in the brain when consumed. Among the treatment programs to reduce tobacco use, there are integrative and complementary therapies, among them, auriculotherapy stands out. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of auriculotherapy to reduce smoking. 19 participants participated in the research, once a week for six weeks. The effectiveness of the proposed treatment was assessed through the analysis and comparison of the Fagerström tolerance questionnaire, answered before and at the end of the intervention. It is concluded that auriculotherapy contributes to reducing the health problems of the patient who chooses to abandon the addiction.
