Abstract

Bananas farming of prata type is the main economic activity of the Gorutuba Irrigated Perimeter in the north of Minas Gerais. The objective of this work was to
characterize bananas 'Prata - Anã', 'Fhia 18' and 'BRS Platina' at the harvest point and mature, produced under dierent water replacements. The three banana genotypes produced with 25, 50, 75, 100 and 125% of ETc were evaluated, constituting 15 treatments, in factorial 3 (genotypes) x 5 (water replenishment). The fruits of 'BRS Platina' produced between 50 and 75% of ETc had a reduced fresh mass, length and diameter. The 'Fhia 18' in this irrigation range had larger fruits and 'Prata-Anã' was lower than the othergenotypes, regardless of the level used. The green tonality of skin became more 'alive'/ intense (bigger chroma) with the increase of the irrigation levels, thus remaining in 'Prata-An~a' and 'BRS Platina' in relation to 'Fhia 18'. Firmer green fruits occurred from 75% Etc, mature, the 'BRS Platinum' is firmer. At harvest point bananas of the different genotypes present fruit fresh mass, length and diameter different according to irrigation level in which they were produced, when ripe the rmness and skin color are
also influenced.
