In a world semi-paralyzed by an unprecedented pandemic, in this century, and by an even worse outbreak of political ignorance in the country, the creation of a vehicle for the promotion and dissemination of Science is a breath of hope in these troubled and dark times.

The Electronic Journal of Exact and Technological Sciences (Recet), published by the Center for Exact and Technological Sciences of the Federal University of Recôncavo da Bahia, aims to be a biannual publication to publish the results of studies or research on science activities, technology and inovation.

As such, the journal has ambitious goals, aiming to disseminate the production, organization, dissemination and use of information and knowledge in a vast field of knowledge, which includes Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Chemistry and Biochemistry, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Sanitary and Environmental Engineering, Engineering Teaching and Teaching Exact Sciences.

I hope that RECET has a long life and fulfills its role of serving as a luminary to stimulate the attraction of good articles, to complement the training of its readers in specialized areas and for the dissemination of Science as the only guarantee of humanity's salvation.
